Day 11~ Our Relationship with God Comes First

Oh God my father, it is for you I thirst,
You loved me at my best and even at my worst,
You listen to my prayers, my tears, you know me most,
Because my relationship with you is the relationship I put first.

My Lord, I know relationships are like planted seeds,
You water them with affection and on love they feed,
And they grow into beautiful blossoms, and some grow into weeds,
But God my relationship with you is the one I really need.

Lord, my relationship with you is the one I truly know,
Your love and affection teaches me how to glow,
And although I may take some time and I may sprout my blossoms slow,
My relationship with you is the one that really helps me grow.

So God please let my relationships all reflect mine and yours,
So that I may see the good in them even if they have some flaws,
And help me to trust that you know best and that I won't be hurt without cause.
My Lord, please help me to have good relationships and open for me the right doors.
