There is a time for everything

Sometimes in life we want things; we want things and we want them now! Lord I want a promotion, I want a partner, I want a friend, I want my child to change, I want my misery to end. We can all relate to the feeling we get when we want something and we don't want to have to wait one day, two weeks or three years for it, we want it now. Truth be told some things we will get them as soon as we pray for them but some things, we're going to have to wait for.
Maybe now isn't the right time, maybe the other person has something to learn before they meet you, maybe God has something even better in store for you. In life, we are going to have a lot of moments where we're going to have to wait for the things that we want.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 states "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens a time to plant and a time to uproot a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time for war and a time for peace."
In effect what is being said is, everything happens in its right time and season. If a tree isn't in its right season, it wouldn't bear fruit,
it's the same way for us, if now isn't the right time, it won't happen.
God has you in the palm of his hands, all your days are numbered, it would serve you well to remember who you are and who your God is. He can do anything and will do anything to protect you and your future.
God's timing is the best timing, we just have to have the courage to wait and everything will fall into place.

Power of Words

What if every negative thing you've ever said, came to pass? What if the negative things you've said about your enemies came to pass, you might be glad about that, but let's just say that every negative thing you've said about your family or yourself came to pass? Then what? What would your life be like then?
Proverbs 18:21 says "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits"
What does that mean exactly? Well it's quite simple, it means that your words have power, the power to make your life better or the power to make your life worse, what you say can make your life happy and fruitful just as it could destroy your life.
Just like your maker, you have the power to bring things to pass, simply, through your words. This is why you must choose your words wisely.
Be careful, your words can have an impact on others as well, start thinking of your words, do you usually speak positively or negatively?
If  you speak negatively (about yourself, or others) , consider your thoughts, maybe you think negatively and try to change that about yourself. Maybe its just the way you see reality? If that is the case I challenge you to see things in a more positive light. Try this, if you feel like saying something negative, give the situation more thought and see if there is anything positive you could say instead.

If you have enemies, you should still try to speak positively about them. Matthew 15:18 says "But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person." Be the better person, if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all

Speaking positively is not an easy thing to do, in life we face so many challenges, we are bombarded by a roller coaster of emotions, but even though we face difficulty I'd like to challenge you today to start seeing things in a more positive light.
Matthew 12:37 says "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned" Matthew 12:36 says "I tell you, on the day of judgement people will give account for every careless word they speak"
Have you spoken any careless words? gossip, insults, curses, these are all careless words, try to stop these bad habits. Proverbs 29:30 states "Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him." I ask you today to take a look at your words, for they reflect not only your heart, but if you don't use them wisely, they can also control your life.

God Is Fighting For You

God is fighting for you, he loves you, he wants you to live life with courage and happiness. God has great plans for you Jeremiah 29:11 states "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord "plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future"
This scripture is God's promise to you today, God wants you to live a happy and fulfilling life, he has big plans for you plans for you to prosper.
Whatever you may be facing today will end, God will remove the blockages in your life, you will see your dreams come to pass in this life, that, my friends, is enough reason for you to get up every morning feeling happy, revived and confident. That's not to say that nothing bad will happen, bad things happen to everyone, everyday, but because of Gods promise you can be sure that although bad things may happen, good things, in fact, even greater things will be coming.
So stay calm, remain in faith, you haven't seen anything yet, God will certainly fulfill his promise, hold him to it and all of your dreams will certainly come to pass!

If God be For You Who Dare Be Against You?

Romans 8:31 "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

Is there a person in your life that's giving you a hard time? Is there someone who you simply can't stand? King David also had to face lots of enemies in his life, perhaps you remember king Saul. 1st Samuel 18:7 says "And the women answered one another as they played with instruments Saul hath slain his thousands and David his ten thousands." King Saul became very jealous of David because God was with David but departed from him. On several occasions King Saul actually tried to kill David but David trusted God and God saved him from all of King Saul's attacks.

Perhaps you've been in a similar situation, maybe you have a friend that has betrayed you, maybe you feel that at your school or workplace you are surrounded by king Saul's, people who are trying to hurt you for no reason at all. If you are in a similar position, rest assured that God will take care of all your troubles, "If God be for you, who dare be against you?" Certainly in your life you will have to meet people that you don't like to be around, or people that are trying to pull you down, sometimes for no reason whatsoever, let me encourage you today to stay calm and cool and let God fight your battle for you. While it may be necessary for  you to face this situation now, the best thing you can do for yourself is keep your cool and trust in God.

Maybe God sent this person in your life for you to learn this lesson, maybe you were suppose to be a blessing to this person, at the end of it all God has your best interest at heart so trust him and he will fight your battles and you will come out better that you were before!

Think about it!

Isn't God an awesome God? He has done so many things for us, he sent his only son to die for us. He has done so many miracles for us to see the world as it is today. You owe it to him to be happy and when you are happy you are glorifying him. Don't feel sad anymore, hasn't your God done a lot for you? Won't he do even more and even better for you in the future? It's up to you whether your life is positive or negative, you have the power to change your world.
Your life is a reflection of who you are inside. Is it that there is something you have to change about yourself for you to be able to see the world with a more optimistic frame of mind? Sometimes we must evaluate ourselves because God deserves the most faithful and immaculate followers and although we're not he accepts us anyway.
Can't we make a small change in ourselves so God can look down on us and smile and say, "Yes he/she is my faithful follower, he/she has the faith to move mountains, finally I can make some positive changes in his/her life."
Friends, God gave us more power than we could ever know or understand and it all starts with your thoughts.

He's by Your Side...

Why does God love us so much. He sent his only son to die for our sins, what have we done to deserve such unconditional love? The answer is, nothing, God loves us because he loves us, there are no strings attached so rest assured that he loves you. Nothing that you've ever done could make God love you any less. He is still up there ready to listen and say yes, not right now or I have something better. Go talk to him, he wants to hear from you. He wants you to know that he wants to listen, he wants to be there, he wants to right all your wrongs but you have to take a step toward him, pray and ask for forgiveness.
Our God is an awesome God, he can do anything, trust him and love him and he will fill every missing space in your heart. Don't hurt yourself anymore, go bring yourself peace and speak to the creator of the universe, he's ready to listen. Just trust him and he will carry you where you need to go.

Pray, Pray, Pray

God is an awesome God, he loves you and he wants to give you the best of everything he has. Sometimes in life we go through difficulties and circumstances and we doubt him, we do not trust him but he created you in his image and likeness, he knows your name, your address, your phone number. Everything you are right now was predestined, and there are good things coming your way, I claim that for you right now in the name of Jesus.
But God can only work with you if you let go of your past, only if you let go of your mistakes and leave all of your troubles in his hands.
Pray to him, right now, ask him for everything you want, place your troubles in his hands and he will listen, and your heart will feel lighter and you will feel an inexplicable peace.
God loves you, he wants to overlook all your mistakes and he wants to forgive you. Don't let the devil make you believe that your God, the almighty father cannot forgive you.
I heard a preacher once speak of life as being like a court room, he said that Jesus is your lawyer, God is the judge and the devil is arguing against you. The devil is bringing up all the mistakes you've made and everything you've done wrong as evidence to why you shouldn't get what you want and Jesus says that he doesn't remember, for he has forgiven you. The devil objects and God over rules him.
I was so inspired to know that I have someone up there always looking down on me and wanting what's best for me, someone who doesn't see only flaws in me as I see in myself. Friends, God is an awesome God and a mighty father. He knows you and the plans he has for you, I challenge you to let go of all the problems and emotions that is holding you back in your life, I challenge you to help Jesus fight your case and believe it or not all you have to do for this amazing peace is pray!
Don't know what to say, no problem, God knows what you want to say to him, just make an effort and he will tell you what you want to say, just pray. Never stop praying

Holy Week

Please allow to me hold the honor of welcoming you to holy week. In light of this auspicious occasion which brings us back to commemorating the passion of Christ  I thought that it would be best to write on the basis of who God is. As Christians sometimes we do not hold God to the high esteem he deserves and in so doing we let down our fellow Christians. This week I would like to highlight some traits and characteristics of God as quoted from the Bible so that during this week and hopefully in many weeks to come we can meditate and get answers to that controversial question, who is God?

Who is God to you? What is he? When you think of God what do you see, I think of God as a huge mass of light, maybe you have another way of seeing him when you close your eyes to prayer or when ever you think of him.
Looking pass appearances  who is God really? What is our maker like? We know he is loving which we see through the scripture John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life" We have also been told of his forgiving heart and that he is slow to anger through the scripture, "Psalm 103:8-12 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us."

Another thing we must remember is God is never changing seen through the scripture
"I will never leave you or forsake you."
Hebrews 13:5

In order to get to know God better we must learn who he is through praying, reading the Bible or even just observing and acknowledging the great things God has done and continues to do in your life, in doing this you will not only be praising God but also your faith will be renewed.

Get to know God for that is what life is all about, I promise, he won't disappoint.

Trust

I think that we should be happy in knowing that God works everything out for good. Trust him, He loves you and he will work everything out for you in your life.

He knows your hopes and dreams, he knows your fears and even your weaknesses. Trust in him for he will work out everything, even the obstacles in your life and use it to your advantage.

God has everything you need. Place your life is in his hands and  trust that he will make a way!

Faith

It is said, "by faith say to a mountain be removed and it will be removed" Mark 11:23

With faith everything is possible. Do you believe that? As humans it's quite difficult to believe that things could change for the better when there's so much coming against us but as Christians we have to let go of that constricted out look and instead look up to heaven for help, knowing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

David was known as the man after God's own heart, he was able to do great things with his faith by simply believing. Armored with only a slingshot and his undying faith in God David accomplished the impossible by defeating one of Israel's greatest threats, Goliath.

What about you? If your name were to be written in the great books of history, if your name were to be etched in the stones of time, how would you like your name to be remembered? Would you like to be remembered as a man or woman who didn't have enough faith in God to make their circumstance change or would you like to be remembered as a man or woman after God's own heart?

The only way through your trials is to take this one big step and believe in God and his goodness, by trusting in him without any doubt that he will make everything good happen to you by his will and in his time and that, my
friends, is what faith truly is.

A Letter From God

Hi,
As you got up this morning,
I watched you and hoped you would talk to me,
even if it was just a few words,
asking my opinion or thanking me for
something good that happened in your life yesterday -
but I noticed you were to busy
trying to find the right outfit to put on
and wear to work.

I waited again.
When you ran around the house getting ready
I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello,
but you were too busy.
At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes
with nothing to do except sit in a chair.
Then I saw you spring to your feet.
I thought you wanted to talk to me
but you ran to the phone and called a friend
to get the latest gossip.
I watched as you went to work
and I waited patiently all day long.
With all your activities
I guess you were too busy
to say anything to me.

I noticed that before lunch
you looked around,
maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me,
that is why you didn't bow your head.
You glanced three or four tables over
and you noticed some of your friends
talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't.
That's okay. There is still more time left,
and I have hope that you will talk to me...
yet you went home
and it seems as if you had
lots of things to do.

After a few of them were done you turned on the TV,
I don't know if you like TV or not,
just about anything goes there
and you spent a lot of time each day
in front of it,
not thinking about anything -
just enjoying the show.

I waited patiently again
as you watched the TV and ate your meal...
but again you didn't talk to me.
Bedtime - I guess you felt too tired.
After you said goodnight to your family
you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time.
That's okay
because you may not realize
that I am always there for you.
I've got patience
more than you will ever know.
I even want to teach you
how to be patient with others as well.
I love you so much
that I wait everyday for a nod,
prayer or thought or a thankful part of your heart.
It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.

Well you are getting up again and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you hoping that today you will give me some time.

Love Always,
God

Purpose

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose"

Yes, everyone in this life has a purpose, even you.
You are amazing, beautiful, wonderful and everything good.
Believe in yourself and remember your purpose lies where your happiness is.

Go loves you so much and thus he created you to fulfill a purpose only you can fulfill. You may not see it but you could be fulfilling your purpose right now, if not now then God is probably preparing you to fulfill it in the coming future.

Your life has so much purpose and I know that your life is a blossom of goodness and I do challenge yo to help others see that in themselves too!
